Description
Weather-resistant steel, that is, atmospheric corrosion resistant steel, is a low alloy steel series between ordinary steel and stainless steel. The weather-resistant plate is made of ordinary carbon steel adding a small amount of copper, nickel and other corrosion resistant elements, and the weather-resistance is 2 to 8 times that of ordinary carbon steel, and the coating property is 1.5 to 10 times that of ordinary carbon steel.
Application
Weathering steel is mainly used in railway, vehicle, bridge, tower, photovoltaic, high-speed engineering and other long-term exposure to the atmosphere of the use of steel structures. It can also be used in the manufacture of containers, railway vehicles, oil derricks, harbor buildings, oil platforms and containers of sulfur-containing corrosive media in chemical and petroleum equipment. In addition, due to the unique appearance of weathering steel, it is also often used in public art, outdoor sculpture and building exterior wall decoration.
