Low alloy plate is a general term that refers to steel plates with an alloy content of less than 3.5%. Generally speaking, the low alloy plate in the market is Q345B plate.
Generally, Q345B steel cannot be heat treated. For special purposes, surface hardness can be improved through surface carburizing and salt bath high-frequency quenching.
